Santaluces Community High School

Thank you for another awesome conference!

Recordings of our Featured Sessions can now be viewed in the window below.

The Committee has put together another exciting lineup of nationally-known speakers including our Keynote speaker, Adam Bellow, and Closing Keynote speaker Steve Dembo. Additionally the conference will feature speakers from Microsoft, Google, and other technology giants that will be in attendance to meet with our teachers and learn how they can better support education.

New this year is the MakerSpace, located in the Vendor Hall, and sponsored by the Library Media Services Department. Be sure to visit so you can find out how Maker technologies such as 3-D printing and interactive visualization tools are transforming today’s school media centers and classrooms. As always, the great majority of our breakout sessions will be provided by our own Palm Beach County teachers and staff, where you can learn about topics as varied as assistive technology, how to make the most of the resources available through your District Google account, how to engage learning with mobile and tablet devices, and how to effectively incorporate the use of technology in daily instruction. With nearly 100 breakout sessions to choose from there is truly something for everyone.

a-bellow-thumbnailWe are pleased to be offering up to 8 in-service points for participants who attend the Technology Conference, AND submit an implementation piece as follow-up.  Points will be offered both to participants who attend in person or who attend virtually.  Implementation activities will be submitted via an eLearning Management course titled “2016 Technology Conference.

As always, the Vendor Hall will also be packed with companies from around the country displaying their new products and talking with attendees one-on-one.

And if that isn’t enough, we’ll also be featuring lots and lots of great giveaways throughout the day from our sponsors and local businesses, and we’ll have our usual awesome door prizes including printers, laptops, and tablets that are given away at the Closing Session.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsoring companies, the Palm Beach Technology Conference is completely free for educators and educational support staff. Registration is open now and you do not want to miss this fun opportunity to learn!

PLEASE NOTE: March 18th is Bring Your Child To Work Day for Palm Beach County Schools. Unfortunately we can NOT accommodate children on the day of the conference due to space limitations. Please consider attending the conference virtually on the day of the event using the link on the conference website.

Your printed ticket will indicate the start time of the day’s first event–the Opening Keynote that begins at 8:00 am. Please allow enough time to park, check-in, and find your seat in the school auditorium prior to 8:00 am.
