Make the Most of Your Conference Experience with Edmodo

This year’s Technology Conference will be Powered by Edmodo for the fourth year in a row!   Edmodo is a free social learning network with the largest community of educators edmodo-2016and students in the world.  The platform provides a safe and easy way to collaborate and share content.  It is a place where you can connect and communicate before, during, and after our conference.  In addition, many sessions have an Edmodo group where you can access presentation materials, ask the presenter questions, discuss ideas shared during the session, and continue the conversation after the conference is over.

Signing up for an Edmodo account is free and easy.  If you do not already have an account, we recommend you create and set up your account prior to arriving at the conference.  You can begin joining conference session groups today!

To join Edmodo:

  1. Go to
  2. Make sure you are on “Teacher.”
  3. Complete the information and go through the prompts.
  4. Once you are at your Edmodo Wall, you can click your icon in the top right corner and adjust your settings.
  5. Join some groups!
Now join the Main Conference Wall Group:
  1. In the “Groups” section on the left side of your Edmodo homepage, “Join a Group”
  2. Enter the code from the conference program.

Finally, join some Breakout Session Groups:

  1. In your conference program, locate the six-digit code for the session you want to join.  (A PDF copy of the conference program will be available in the Main Conference Wall and in the Main Conference Wall Folder.)
  2. In the “Groups” section on the left side of your Edmodo homepage, “Join a Group”
  3. Enter the six-digit code in the join field.

With so many great sessions to choose from, don’t miss out on the ones you can’t attend – feel free to join as many groups as you like!

Helpful Hint: You can disable email notifications from each group you join by:

  1. Clicking on the name of the group you want to stop getting emails from on the left side of your wall.
  2. Clicking Group Settings at the top of the page in the middle.
  3. Unchecking Send Email/SMS Updates.
  4. Repeating this process for each group you want stop receiving email notifications.

If you have any questions about Edmodo, there will be on-site support during the conference at the Tech Kiosk in the courtyard.  Stop by and say “Hi!”
